What is N-NH2?

This time I'm asking as an orchid grower: what is N-NH2? Because we're not supposed to use a fertilizer on orchids, containing urea, so I would like to know if I have the right one. We need either one with nitrate nitrogen or ammoniacal nitrogen.

N-NH2 isn't really anything.  Urea is a nitrogen containing compound:

It has a high weight % of Nitrogen so is a popular fertilizer because it is cheap to move.

Nitrate nitrogen means a fertilizer that is derived from nitrate salts (NO3), whereas ammoniacal nitrogen means a fertilizer with ammonium (NH4) salts.  So ammonium nitrate fertilizer would be OK by your standards

N-NH2 is a substituted hydrazine.

But I assume you are reading a label meaning N in the form of NH2 groups.
