Title: protein education
Post by: Mac72 on September 06, 2020, 10:32:38 AM
Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good book on proteins? My knowledge is up to Higher Chemistry level (Scottish A-Level). I am very rusty (I studied chemistry 30 years ago!). I would like to learn more about proteins, and then learn more about food and brain chemistry,.

Many thanks

What other Highers do you have? Maybe something like Stryer, or Voet and Voet?

Nelson and Cox, Principles of Biochemistry is a good general biochemistry textbook.  Is there an area within proteins in which you are especially interested?
