Hey guys, I am tasked with writing very short paper using chemistry databases to compare how structural features of a compound affects its thermal properties. I am not particularly good at chemistry, but I wish to learn new things about organic compounds. Can anyone suggest some ideas as to what I should investigate and compare? I would like to look into some interesting and maybe new ways to interpret the structure of compounds (ie, conjugation, presence of delocalised rings, bond angles, etc.) I'm sorry if this sound like a dumb question.

Your question is not dumb, but it is very broad. It will need to be made more specific IMO.
