Title: Strong Exothermic\Endothermic Salt

I need to find a salt that is extremely exothermic or extremely endothermic (so not just ammonium chloride or potassium chloride). Also, if anyone has advice where I can find a supplier of the salt too, I would be very appreciative.

Just to clarify, this is exothermic or endothermic in regard to the heat of solution

Check CRC handbook or other similar book.

Where do I find a book like that? Is it available at a bookstore? I'm not familiar with it.

Ordinarily I would defer reply to Borek but I fear an exothermic reaction.

Okay, I found some info, so for future reference for anyone else needed to find the same thing, here is what I learned:

AlBr3, RbO2, & AlI3 are highly exothermic when dissolved in water

Potassium Selenide and Sodium Selenide are fairly endothermic.

FYI, not only will your schools library have a copy of it (if you are a college student), but it is very likely that you will have free access to the online CRC handbook through your schools library website using your student library ID #.

Chemistry handbooks are great.
Chemistry handbooks on a computer with a search feature are so damn much better, though.
