Title: mass spectrometer help
Post by: me261290 on September 15, 2007, 01:44:05 PM
How do the results of a spectrometer differ if 2 ions get knocked off each atom instead of just one?

Well, the spectrometer detects mass-to-charge ratio (m/z).  So, if two electrons get knocked off of each atom, what happens to the charge?  What happens to the m/z ratio?
