Title: Cigar and/or cigarette smoke identifying chemical?
Post by: gglockhart on January 13, 2008, 02:16:13 PM
I am not a chemist or student but having been searching the web for a product or chemical that would react to passive cigar and/or cigarette smoke to produce a bad odor or some other type of smoking indicator. If I could find the ideal product or chemical I would be able to safely spray it in a vehicle or on an object and it would be totally undetectable until it comes into contact with a nicotine laden smoke then it would produce a odor, preferably a bad odor. I want to use it to identify a mystery smoker but it is a idea for pranksters which I am not. Any ideas or places to look would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
