Title: Chemistry Modeling Software
Post by: realmjumper99 on July 28, 2008, 09:41:52 AM
Ok, I am curious as to what programs everyone knows of and likes to do chemistry modeling and sketching in.
I ones I have used are:
Chemdraw from cambridgesoft
Know-it-all Academic ver. from Biorad
ChemSKetch by ACDLabs
ISIS Draw from MDL

Are there any others which anyone likes. So far my personal favorite is Know-it-all. The academic version is free to use but lacks some cool features which probably come with a bought copy. Also Chemdraw is pretty great but the price tag is no good for individual purchase (I picked up a trial at PITTCON).

The only one on that list that I haven't tried is know-it-all. I'll have to try it. There is also Jmol, but I'm not a fan.
