Title: Balance: ION method

balance the following equation by the ion method
Cu + HNO₃ :rarrow: Cu²⁺ + NO + H₂O(in acid)
i get confused with HNO₃
i did all this things:

• 2HNO₃+2e^- :rarrow: 2NO + H₂O
• NO₃ :rarrow: NO +2e^-, and erase de water and hydrogen without a reason

please help me thanks before hand
