Title: Question on effusion of H20 to D20
Post by: EI88 on August 15, 2005, 06:06:16 PM
I've never done this before and im pretty lost, if someone could explain how to find the rate of effusion or give me a website where i can learn how to find the rate, I would greatly appriciate it.

velocity of molc A / velocity of molc B = sqrt (molar mass of molc B / molar mass of molc A)

so the lighter the molecule the faster it effuses.
