A student does an experiment to determine the correct position of titanium mteal on the activity series. She places newly polished pieces of titanium in solutions of nickel(II)nitrate, lead nitrate and magnesium nitrate. She finds that titanium corrodes in the nickel(II) and lead nitrate solutions but not in the magnesium nitrate solution. From this information, place titanium in the activity series.
