Title: Maleic Acid to Fumaric Acid Mechanism
Post by: Seons R on November 05, 2013, 03:59:25 PM
Hi I was just wondering if somebody could help me with the reaction mechanism of Maleic Acid - Fumaric Acid Cis/Trans Isomerism...I know the two isomers and have guessed some of the reaction but I am unsure if it is right or not...I need it for an organics lab on thursday! Any help is much appreciated, even if it's just a link to the mechanism because I can't find it anywhere!
Thanks in advance!

Solvent could be critical here. The solvent may be included in the mechanism, depending on what it is.
