Hi I need to use acrylamide as a control study material. I do no need it for its' separating properties but for it's setting from a solution to gel property in a short period of time.
If I were to buy a 40% Bis/Acrylamide solution and add APS and TEMED to this without the resolving buffer mix (Tris etc) would it still set into a gel? I know I could try this myself but wondered if anyone knew?

Yes, I was able to gel it without TRIS or other PAGE additives.
