A friend and I are conducting an electro-plating experiment where we are determining the effect of (and the most effective) different metals on iron's rate of rusting. I was wonder if it is possible to take the experiment to another level, where we are doing more than just testing for rusting rates. We are interested in an experiment that is a fusion of metallurgy and electrochemistry and has some practical use or meaning. All suggestions are welcomed, and we're quite flexible with the topic (meaning we can do something entirelyy different :) ).
