Title: Lanthanides phosphates precipitation
Post by: Muonium on March 29, 2018, 03:00:23 AM
Hello everyone! As an amateur chemist, I don't have a degree in chemistry and I lack some knowledge, but I'm trying my best to learn by myself and online, and I'm usually able to find the compound that I've synthesized/precipitate by searching on wiki and on research papers.

When trisodium phosphate is added to a copper-ammonia complex solution, and the pH ajusted with HCl, Ammonium copper phosphate precipitate.

What I want to know and that I'm unable to find anywhere, is if it is possible to precipitate an Ammonium lanthanide phosphate (e.g. Yttrium, Neodymium) by the same method; adding TSP and HCl to form phosphoric acid in a lanthanide-ammonia complex solution?   Thanks a lot!
