Title: Identifing an unknown quantity of a compound.
Post by: ericbmd on July 12, 2006, 10:38:25 PM
Assume that one heaping capful of a drug weighs 5.00g and that each capful contains 0.19g of acetaminophen and 0.13g of phenacetin.  How much of the identified component was originally present in the antacid/analgesic mixture?? We found it to be Phenacetin in an experiment.  Show the calculation...   ???????

You mean as a percentage?

You just found that 0.13 of the 5.00 g of drug was Phenacetin.  So that's 0.13/5.00 -- but that seems too easy...is that what you meant?
