What do you think of value of working in Contract Research Organization (CRO) as a synthetic organic chemist??
Valued? or not? Does it make my CV look better?? I am aiming for senior position as soon as I can.

CRO's are often used by people who do real research, you'd likely do little research yourself but just carry out techniques the research company wants you to do. I think its good for the experience to learn techniques and keep the CV up to date, so you can apply for research jobs if you want those. Some people make a career in CROs, you can climb the management ladder there too.

If you can't get a job in a chem/pharm company, working for a CRO is a great first step into that world. It's not looked down on.
