Title: Role of K2CO3 in DAST mediated cyclization

Hello,
what is the role of K2CO3 in DAST mediated intramolecular cyclization of dipeptide to obtain oxazoline? Is it used as weak base to induce HF formation and minimizing fluorination side reaction?
