Title: Sodium and Potassium concentration testing

Hey everyone, so I have a few 25 mL samples of water that I would like to test for Sodium (Na+) and Potassium (K+) concentration levels (mg/L). I have done some searching to find out if there are titration techniques to do this and have come up fairly dry for a good quantitative test other than using an atomic absorption instrument. Unfortunately, due to some software update issues, the AA instrument at my university is currently out of commission. Before I look into paying lab fees at another lab I was hoping to find an alternative method.

Any resources or readings you can suggest will help me as well! Thanks for the help in advance!

Alcaline Elements are difficult, maybe Iconic chromatography could work.

He means ionic chromatography, IC. It's basically the same issue, you really need an instrument.

Yeah I see, this is about what I had figured. It's only a minor problem though, I can use another lab if I have too. Thanks for the help still.
