Title: VG vs Tear gas
Post by: pcm81 on July 27, 2019, 12:30:45 PM
The riots in hong kong and use of tear gas got me thinking. Home remedies for tear gas burns include petrolium gelly. This got me wondering: what would happen if protestors evaporated a large quantity of vegetable glycerine to mix with tear gas in air? Would tear gas react with VG and in effect be neutralized?
2-chlorobenzalmalononitril is the active ingridient in tear gas. So i guess my question is: 2-chlorobenzalmalononitril + VG =?

This will not work, check the boiling point of VG.
