Title: milk lime dosing for raising water ph
Post by: danavuia.1987 on July 31, 2019, 03:09:31 AM
What is the milk lime dosing for ph raising in a water plant who uses aluminium sulphate for coagulation?
In rainy season  water turbidity is 200 ntu, and we use a lot of aluminium sulphate .
raw water total alkalinity=1.6 mval/l
ph=7.2
total hardness=5
Thank you!

This is not possible to answer because the target pH is not given. How much aluminiumsulfate is present and so one. Lime will precipitate with the sulfate anyway.
