Title: High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

I would like to do HPLC on cooking oil packaged in plastic to measure phthalates levels in it. What solvent would be the best to use?

What are your thoughts so far about the ideal solvent?  Are you limited in your choices, based upon availability?
