Post by: INeedSerotonin on October 08, 2019, 02:07:04 PM
KMnO4 has a strong purple color, and it is a powerful oxidizing agent. Its oxidation can be shown by the change in color, when its purple discolors.

Which one of these compouds will *not* provoke the discolorment of a solution with KMnO4?

a) acetaldehyde
b) cyclohexene
c) benzene <----- this one is the answer
d) ethanol
e) vinyl-benzene

Can you guys please give me a hint?
