Title: Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide
Post by: griley on October 14, 2019, 09:28:54 AM
I did a lab for my chemistry class. In this lab we reacted an acidified Hydrogen Peroxide solution with Potassium Permanganate. How do I figure out the number of electrons gained or lost for the elements in this equation?

What happens with the permanganete, (colour?) , which product is obtained and also what is the observation with the Peroxide. What product is optained here. Do you see some bubbles for instance.

The oxidation numbers for Permangante and Peroxide should be easily calculated.
