Title: What is a good replacement for Potassium Sulfate
Post by: Ciel_Tempest on January 15, 2020, 09:54:38 AM
I'm going to do a lab activity but I am lacking Potassium Sulfate. It's a lab about mixing solution and watching the product precipitate.The chemical equation is this.
Ba(NO3)2(aq) + K2SO4(aq) --> BaSO4(s :spindown:)+KNO3(aq). What can I use to replace
K2SO4? I'll see if there are some of the chemical substance that are suggested here left and use it instead.Thanks!

You can use any other Sulfate instead to precipitate Bariumions.

Laboratory (diluted) H2SO4 also works.
