Title: Why is the answer III (MgBr Organic CHEM quest.)?

Can someone explain where I went wrong (see attachments)?

Solution is No. 4. You didn't add acetone, instead you have von C to much Butanone.

No, the solution is not 4, it's 3. I have the answer key. Idk what you're talking about.

Your scheme is wrong. After the water elimination from IV the final product is III.
