Title: iron oxide through eletrolysis
Post by: aeterno on January 23, 2020, 03:16:07 AM
simple question but i cant find an answer anywhere on the interwebz, so I literally created my account to ask it here amongst people who can answer it.
when converting say, an iron nail through electrolysis into iron oxide, do you receive weight for weight or is there a reduction or gain, i mean after it has been finally converted into Fe2O3.

Answer is in the stoichiometry. Do you know how to write reaction equation for the process?
