Hello,
It is possible to make cannabidiol
( C21H30O2 ) volatile, mixing it with another more volatile substance and decrease weight mole?
Or others solutions to make CBD volatile?
Molar weight CBD: 314,464 g/mol
Volatile weight: between 30-300g/mol.
Thanks for yours answers!

Do you want to smoke this, or? Vaping should be fine?
-
Is it legal where you live?
-
It’s NOT for vaping or smoking, no heat here, just volatility like terpenes scents, at environnant pression and temperature.
Yes of course CBD is 100% legal in Switzerland, Europe, USA... is made from industrial hemp.
-
Well, wiki says (about US):
It is a common misconception that the legal ability to sell hemp (which may contain CBD) makes CBD legal.
I am not convinced you are right.
-
Yes i am sure CBD is legal in US or Europe, is not if added to food or with medical claims.
But the substance is legal.
I understand the law is not easy with hemp, but...
On FDA official page:
8. Is it legal for me to sell CBD products?
A. It depends, among other things, on the intended use of the product and how it is labeled and marketed.

I’m living in Switzerland:
Wiki US:
Switzerland
While THC remains illegal, CBD is not subject to the Swiss Narcotic Acts because this substance does not produce a comparable psychoactive effect. Cannabis products containing less than 1% THC can be sold and purchased legally.[106]

Not one of my favorite answers.
With all the vaping and smoking bad press, especially with what additives are associated, I just get a negative feeling.

Wow billnogatez, what a scientific post!
...bad press... feeling...

Let’s clarify the issue!
1). Physical Chemistry:
a). Volatility is not only a question of molecular size but it is also a question of molecular shape, molecular flexibility, polarity and intermolecular hydrogen-bond formation, etc. Thus, “compounds up to 300 g/mol are volatile and so, a compound with MW = 314.5 can easily be volatile with a little something” is not a reasonable approach.
Indicatively, dimethyl phthalate is not volatile, though having MW = 283 < 300.
b). Azeotropy and azeotrope mixtures mainly refer to boiling and they are not applied at room temperature.
PS: Molecular weight of a compound, is not decreased by mixing with another compound.
-
2). Legal Status:
a). Cannabidiol (CBD) is not a narcotic neither a psychotropic agent but it is an approved, antiepileptic drug under prescription; which means specific licenses and serious limitations, concerning purchasing, supplying, handling, preparation and formulation, everywhere. In other words, purchasing, supplying, handling, preparation and formulation of cannabidiol by unauthorized individuals and institutions, is not legal at all.
b). Similar as above concern purchasing, supplying, growing, handling, preparation and formulation of industrial hemp, as well as its use as a raw material.
PS: “Cannabis products containing less than 1% THC can be sold and purchased legally in Switzerland” does not obligatory mean that “Cannabis products containing a significant amount of CBD but less than 1% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) can also be sold and purchased legally in Switzerland” and elsewhere.
-
3). Conformity with the Forum Rules:
Due to the structural and physco-chemical similarity of CBD with THC, a method that makes CBD volatile at room temperature, can potentially make THC volatile at room temperature, too; which cannot be communicated in this forum that has thousands anonymous viewers from all over the world.
