Title: Ortho-Para director question.

If you have an activating substituent that's an ortho-para director, how do you determine if the ortho product is the major product or if the para product is the major product?

Steric hindrance? So the Para is the primary product?

I suspect that it depends on the size of the group, but yes, that was what I was thinking as well.
