Post by: IVANKA28 on March 22, 2020, 12:56:42 AM
Excuse me ,
so i got this Analytical Chemistry question , and im confuse what formula that i must usin

anyone can give me a guide ?

thanks before :)

1. The distribution coefficient of an organic compound is KD = Caq / Cpent = 4.0. Next 1 gram of the organic compound is placed in vessel 0 of the Craig device.
Each vessel contains 4 ml of water and 4 ml of pentane (lighter solvents will be removed).
Calculate the weight organic compounds in each vessel after four times the transfer / transfer!

2.Three extractions with 50 ml of chloroform removed 90% of a solute from 200 ml of an aqueous solution.
Calculate the distribution coefficient of the solute !

Check Nernst distribution.
