Title: Hydrolysis: Predict the product
Post by: onlineschool on March 31, 2020, 01:28:31 PM
Hello. I have these two hydrolysis problems that I'm trying to work out. For the first one, a feel somewhat confident in my answer, but I would really appreciate it if someone can double-check. Especially, about the amine at the top.

For #2, I'm not really sure where to start off. Initially, I was thinking of making it into a hemiaminal, but i'm not sure how i would.

Here's the link to the picture of the problems im working on:

Thank you for your help !!

What will be the product of the ether ring hydrolysis?
Then, what will happen in the next step hydrolysis?
