Title: Finding symmetry?
Post by: @bh1$€K on April 12, 2020, 01:04:21 AM
It says that the compound can be divided into two equal halves but I can find only one about CHBr. Can u help me find the other one?

Not sure what you are asking, if you "divide" the compound at some point you get two halves. What more do you want to find?

Only one place to divide into equal halves- the central Carbon (CHBr)

5 steroegenic centers means maximum of 2^5 or 32 stereoisomers.  But there are multiple meso compounds for this example.
