Title: Maison stains / pigments

I am trying to learn how to make watercolors with maison stains.  I believe the language is confusing.  Maison stains are oxides.  So would mason stains be a pigment that I could add a stabalizer to and end up with a with something that can be used as paint? Also, not to be confused with ceramics!

Are you intending to use stuff used in ceramics for regular watercolor use

I only use them with ceramic.
When I contacted the company a few years ago I got good help.
