Title: How many molecules rub off when I lightly brush a diamond with feather?

We all know that diamond has very strong covalent bonds that require a lot of energy to break. We can destroy it by burning it, but what happens when we touch or rub it with a soft material? How long would it take to see an appreaciable effect on the surface on diamond while brushing a dimond with feather or simply touching it. What about graphene that's a single layer of atoms? Would it be destroyed if we touched it?
