Title: Thermodynamics- Freshman chemistry course question
Post by: Sp_loa on August 01, 2020, 04:31:58 AM
I was trying to solve a question, and I don't have any direction on how to.

I would appreciate any guidance.

"2 moles of ideal gas under STP conditions are heated so the amount of heat going into the system is equal to 0.56 KJ. Simultaneously the gas is being compressed by a piston that does a work that is equal to 0.23KJ
what is expected to be the final temperature of the gas?"

Correct answer- 304.67K

Thanks in advance  :)

Is there more information about said ideal gas, like for instance "monoatomic"?
