Title: How to solve for t in half life equation without using logarithms?
Post by: ClassicAsparagus on September 14, 2020, 08:30:44 PM
I’m trying to help a friend with a problem.  I know logarithms, but she doesn’t.  We are trying to solve for t.

0.348=(1/2)t/30

Does anyone know of a way to solve this without using logarithms?

Any reason as to why your friend is opposed to learning logarithms?

The only other way to "undo" exponents is if the bases are the same which isn't the case for this problem.
