Title: Rough Calculation of Bag Filter Dedusting System Gas Usage?
Post by: metallurgy on September 16, 2020, 04:19:31 AM
I tried to calculate roughly of industrial bag filters (dedusting systems) but I can't get accurate results:

Basically the calculation depends on:

1)how much back pressure is needed to knock the dust off,
2)the flow to make that pressure inside the bag, and
3)how often you need to apply it
4)debi of the gas which is filtered
5)number of bag filters

Example values: 1)0.8-8 bar 2) 80m3/h 3) two(2) second 4) 100.000 m3/h 5) 850 pieces

Filtered gas inlet pressure: 5mbar (Nm3)
Filtered gas outlet pressure: 35mbar (Nm3)

So if the pulse is 1 in 2 seconds then its 30 in 1 minute and 1800 in 1 hour. And then 80m3x1800 will not be true for calculation.

How to calculate from these values? (for roughly estimation)
