I became really interested in chemistry last year, and now I'm thinking of buying a hot plate stirrer. All the hot plate stirrers out there seem pretty expensive (I'd like to stay under 400 dollars), and I'm only planning on doing amateur experiments, so what would any of you recommend? Also, I've asked my chemistry teacher if I could use my school's lab or equipment and they said no.
I'm thinking of buying this: https://www.amazon.com/100-1500RPM-Digital-Magnetic-Hotplate-Stirrer/dp/B089VN12Q3
but I'm not sure if 280C max is a good range of heat or not.

We have a advertising section on this forum.
you might find something there.
Also EBAY has been a resource for used equipment with some being a good price.
I have also heard of people making there own stirrers although I have yet to see heated versions.

Huh, okay, I'll look into that. Thanks for the reply!
