Title: Lithium/Potassium ion exchange

Hi all, I need to make KPh3Si for a reaction. However, my lab does not have the starting materials suggested by literature to synthesize KPh3SiH. So I have to improvise:)

Anyways, I was planning to use nBuLi to deprotonate Ph3SiH to generate LiPh3Si, then do an ion exchange with potassium. Do you guys have any suggestion on what salt to use? Ideally the LiX salt resulted from the ion exchange can crash out of solution. So I would need a KX salt that is soluble in an organic solvent, and a LiX salt that is insoluble in the same solvent. On that note, I also need advice on which organic solvent to use.

Let me know if any of you have experience with this topic/ have any ideas. Thanks!
