Title: Question about Rate Laws and Reaction mechanisms
Post by: Karail on October 16, 2020, 02:35:48 PM
If I have a reaction mechanism with 3 steps and the third step is the rate determining step, how do I use that to find the Rate Law of the overall reaction? Do I just assume that the previous two steps have reached equilibrium and substitute the applicable rate expressions into the rate law for the 3rd step?
