Hi everybody!!
i got a method from extracting phenol, but i dont know if it's good
the method begin with acid hydrolysis that break salicin in Salicyl alcohol and glucose with hydrochloric acid, the Salicyl alcohol powder from water bath previously neutralization with NaOH is treated with a less stoichiometric quantity of hydrogen peroxide for prevent a great quantity of carboxilic acid (i could use nitric acid in the same way, but i dont know if works fine) then the salicilic acid powder of other again water bath is heated for the production of phenol, which is cooled for liquid phase, this procedure works fine or not?

No idea, but as my old pchem professor used to say, One experiment is worth a thousand theories.

You should check the literature, patents could be good.
