Title: Meaning of this

In a table I found for solubility values it says "the solubility is 100 times the mass of anhydrous compound soluble in a unit mass of water", can anyone tell me what is meant by this, in particular when it talks about the "unit mass of water". I would be so grateful for any response.

in g/100g, however the values seem to be a percentage and some are greater than 100, therefore I wondered whether this had something to do with "unit mass" that it mentions.

Well, you already have a unit mass of water.

What to do when most of the solubilities are small, like 0.02, 0.3, etc. Maybe multiply by some number (eg. 100, 1000) so that all values ​​are integers?

grams of [whatever] per 1 gram of water (or whatever units you like).
