Title: Can you use a racemic mixture to do resolution reaction?
Post by: selsardo on November 13, 2020, 06:42:04 PM
Can you do a resolution experiment on a racemic amine using a racemic mixture of (+) and (-) tartaric acid instead of pure (+) tartaric acid?

I'm leaning towards no and I think it might have something to do with optical activity but I'm really confused. Can someone please help.
