Title: What happens when?
Post by: geesquire on September 13, 2004, 08:29:12 PM
Hi folks.

Am a noobie here.

I have this (simple?) question -

You have a mixture of benzoic acid, methyl orange and cellulose . You add ether to it (any ether). Then the mixture is boiled.

Cellulose is precipitated after filtering.

Explanation?

Cellulose is precipitated after filtering.

Did u mean that cellulose is the residue of the filtering process?
