Title: Bragg's law
Post by: KnightCid on December 17, 2020, 04:32:20 PM
Hi there, I don't know how to start this problem. Any hint to start it?

Elemental silver reflects X-rays of wavelength 154.18 pm at angles of 19.076 °, 22.171 °, 32.256 °. However, no other reflections occur at angles less than 33 °. Assuming a cubic cell, determine his type and size. Calculate the density of this material.

Start by reading a good (or recommended) crystallography textbook on Braggs' law and on the physical methods for characterizing solids.
This will allow you to determine the unit cell parameter a and centering of the lattice from the diffraction angles,
