Emeramide is a chemical used as a heavy metal cholator
How low can we get the cost down to? Say for 1kilo to 10kilo?
Purely from the point view of chemical synthesis because the yield is very critical to the cost.

The synthesis is patented and published. You can estimate the costs yourself.

Whether EDTA or Emeramide or any other chelation, a decades-long pondering of mine is how can such an agent target solely that which one is trying to target, rather than binding any and all (esp. “free” ions) it encounters.
I’ve never had a cogent response.

No ligand is 100% selective, there are always side reactions.
That being said, "heavy metal chelator" doesn't assume much selectivity.

The synthesis is a one-step process and yield is probably very high and startingmaterial is cheap. I get the impression that large amounts are used in the industry.
Here is a link with different suppliers, it seems to me that this compound should be less expensive if you make it yourself.
