Title: Hydroxyapatite synthesis
Post by: Michelle122 on January 04, 2021, 10:50:20 AM
Hi!

I was wondering if anyone can recommend papers or just a resource that I could access describing the synthesis of hydroxyapatite (HA) based on the following reagents: calcium nitrate tetrahydrate and ammonium phosphate dibasic. I’m supposed to write an equation using these reagents to synthesize HA and I’m not sure about the byproducts I need to add to be able to correctly balance the equation.

Thank you!!

Would you please write down what you have so far?

Synthesis of nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite by using precipitation method from these reagents was published over 10 years ago. Do a good search of the literature.
