Title: chemical equations
Post by: azevedo0330 on February 17, 2021, 07:43:10 PM
my teacher did a lab today and i have a question about how to write what happened as an equation.
she put iron filings in copper(II) sulfate(aq) in one test tube, and iron filings in water in another. would the water be considered a catalyst?

Yes we can say water helps as a medium for transfer of ions from one part to another part to maintain electrical neutrality during redox reaction
