Title: Molecular formula
Post by: Sarma on February 23, 2021, 07:32:27 PM
I counted C=30, H52, N9 and O9.

The N and O seem to be ok, but I am not sure about the C and H.

Can anyone confirm if the molecular structure for the molecule is C30 H52 N9 O9? Thanks.

Try to write numbers at each C atom, to make sure you don't miss any. makes checking easier.

With only CHON (and no charge), odd N means odd H, so you can see at once that your formula is wrong.

Thanks, that is what I did before I posted.

@Sarma I counted once again: C30N9O9H51
