Title: Can AIBN radical initiator homolyse Cl2 molecule alone (no UV, room temperature)
Post by: Bolaf7654ggsf on March 01, 2021, 03:30:05 PM
Here's a simple one!

Can AIBN radical initiator homolyse Cl2 molecule winhout UV and at room temperature?

Thanks!

For what purpose? AIBN alone is a radical starter to initiate polymerisation. So no chlorine  to use.
Even it would create clorine radicals, these are not stable an react further.
