Title: DMSO-water solution usage
Post by: Boginvzrt on April 14, 2021, 09:51:44 AM
Hi there! I am trying to regenerate DMSO from a used DMSO-water solution. The problem is that we have only a vacuum evaporator without a fractionating column. In this way our separation is not enough, we still have some water in our DMSO. My question is that what can we use a DMSO-water solution for?
What companies could use this solution?

If absolutly nothing could be done with this, then we will think about getting a fractionating column.
Thank you in advance.

DMSO is so hygroscopic that water is hard to remove completely by distilation. Its also cheap so its not worth the effort really...
